An absolutely scary and tragic moment occured today during the Tottenham and Bolton match.   Tottenham and Bolton’s match was cancelled when the Trotters midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed and stopped breathing.   Our thoughts and prayers are out in full force.

According to BBC:

Medics spent 10 minutes trying to resuscitate the 23-year-old on the field before the players were taken off by referee Howard Webb.

Medical staff gave Muamba mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and tried to revive him with a defibrillator. In total six medics were treating the player.

Bolton issued a statement shorty after the incident, which said: “Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Fabrice Muamba has been taken to hospital following his collapse at White Hart Lane this evening during the FA Cup quarter-final.

“There is no further information at this stage.”
