During today’s World Junior Championship game between and Canada, a linesman took a nasty shot (unintentional) from Czech Republic’s Michal Plutnar. You can check out the .GIF courtesy of Josh Gold-Smith. The ref was just fine, so it is acceptable to laugh and watch it repeatedly. Plutnar earned a mere 2-minute minor for the incident.
Niklas Kronwall’s hit on Jakub Voracek Tuesday night was one that you could feel through the TV. The Detroit Red Wings were playing the Philadelphia Flyers in Detroit and nearly midway through the second period Kronwall laid the back of his shoulder into the body of Voracek and absolutely crushed him.
